Invisalign is a convenient and discreet orthodontic treatment alternative to traditional metal braces. Here's a little more from our Surrey dentist on how the Invisalign treatment process works.
If you're considering having orthodontic treatment done to straightening your smile, but don't want the hassle of metal braces, Invisalign might be the treatment you're looking for.
Begin with a consultation
Your first step on the way to a straighter smile is to book a consultation with your Surrey dentist. Your dentist will examine your teeth to determine whether Invisalign could be the ideal orthodontic treatment option for you.
If Invisalign is appropriate for you, your dentist will show you what Invisalign treatment could do for your smile.
Receive a personalized treatment plan
Next, your dentist will take scans of your teeth and/or impressions. This will allow your dentist to map out a custom treatment plan just for you.
Your aligners are customized for you
Your scans and/or impressions will then be sent off to Invisalign's advanced manufacturing facility so that your clear custom aligners can be created.
Invisalign clear aligners are made of a thin flexible plastic material called called SmartTrack®. Invisalign clear aligners do not contain BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten.
Pick up your first set of aligners
Once your aligners arrive at your dentist's office your treatment is ready to begin.
You will visit your dentist to pick up your aligners and be shown how to wear them correctly, review your treatment plan, and of course your dentist will check that your aligners fit correctly.
At your appointment your dentist will also take the time to answer any questions you may have about your treatment, and let you know what to expect.
Throughout your Invisalign treatment your dentist will be available to monitor your progress and make sure that your treatment stays on-track.
Live your life without interruptions
Invisalign's clear custom aligners are removable. That means that your Invisalign treatment will fit easily into your busy day-to-day life.
Nothing can stop you now
Your Invisalign aligners are almost invisible. Hardly anyone will be able to tell that you are straightening your teeth. So get out there and have fun, knowing that your teeth are getting straighter and straighter by the day.
